AQC-79303 is a high-performance QSFP28 transceiver module for 100 Gigabit Ethernet/OTN OTL4.4 DP-DQPSK modulated data links over single mode fibre. The maximum reach is 120km (optionally extendable to 300km) without inline chromatic dispersion compensation. The transceiver is compliant with the QSFP28 Multisource Agreement (MSA) and hot pluggable. The receiver section is performing the coherent intradyne reception and O/E conversion of the incoming optical signal after being mixed with the local Rx oscillator. Four pairs of balanced photo detectors perform quadratic detection and produce I and Q components of the two orthogonal polarizations (H and V). To support bi-directional transmission over a single fiber, there are two C-band narrow linewidth tunable lasers, one for the Tx and one for the Rx (LO), allowing upstream and downstream traffic to be separated in wavelength.
